....Supercell.
Well...This blog will be about things I have found to inspire me out of this god awful brain dead creativity block I have had recently.
I have recently had an idea but not known how to present it or progress it - but I have now decided to make a mini graphic novel from it. I have already storyboarded it this morning and it has...12 pages of narrative then obviously add front/back cover and inset pages but it should be..good I guess. So I will be working on that for the next few days. I started up my FB page https://www.facebook.com/AnaMaiArt and found some awesome artists:
My top 10 inspiring artists are: (new and old)
1. Camilla D'Errico
2. Range Murata
3. Loish
4. Saejin Oh
5. the team of Studio Ghibli
6. Junko Mizuno
7. Asano Inio
8. Audrey kawazaki
9. Amy Sol
10. Barbara Canepa
What I love about all these artists is that they are all so different but still amazing in their own ways and incredibly inspiring because of this, it made me realise that I didn't have to be like any of these artists to be successful or good but I could take what I learn and like from each and try and incorporate little sections and from doing this I will create something in my own style.
There have also been other artists with different looks that I wanted to look into with my comic strip and practice with. I wanted to give the impression of age - like the images are really old by using some textures and filters or layer changes and colour balances to mess with the colours and what not so...yeah should be interesting.
All this maybe-in' and suppose-in' is making me want chocolate - I got a long day ahead of me so I better get crackin'. ....Was there anything else I wanted to add.....hmm....dunno, if there was I'v forgotten it now and will just have to post a random blog about it later.
Cheers guys - ^_^ - I'll leave u with another influence of mine - Alexia Sinclair - fine art photographer from Australia - my biggest influence when I did photography back in school, but also still now, I was thinking about maybe doing illustrations of powerful women over time..maybe...maybe not
