Infra red

I did what I intended by the deadline and even after being ill and being called in to work AND going to the cinema twice. Good weeks work I think. Right! Yes...so..this:

I chose Johannes Vermeer's 'Girl with the Pearl Earring'

I forgot to do a progression strip for this piece but I did one for the following two:

Leonardo Da Vinci's 'Portrait of Cecilia Gallerani'

This image is one of my own 'Roseline'

Hope you like! ^_^

That's Life:

Good Morning!

Well what's been happening? Err..not a lot really, makes a fantastic change.
However, I do plan to be a lot more active from here on out. I dropped my previous agent as I wasn't getting any work and every time I did it never went ahead and I ended up doing 'preview' pieces and not being paid for them. Therefore, I intend to find myself a new representative which will hopefully be the start of something awesome.
I have been working on some pieces for a new portfolio start which is why I haven't yet submitted my work to an agency yet but this week for sure.

I have been working on a few advertisements and cute images which could be used in promotion, adverts, packaging, patterns, design etc.

I have also been working on some more portraiture. I gave it a break for a while to broaden my skills in the above styles and topics.

Some artists have a 'collection' of specific artwork which all have a particular link between them all. Camilla D'Errico has her 'Helmet girls' and her series of girls covered in animals so I have decided to do something similar, 'Renaissance' I won't say any more than that but images will be up soon as I will be starting them this week. By this time nest week I would have like to have completed 1/2 for the collection and sent some images away to agents and magazines. It's a push with par-time work as well but I think I....- oh wait, I have Alton Towers Friday - Hmmm...one images then?...Something will be done anyway.

I want to try and do a stage by stage saving process, it's always cool to see something like that, even for me, doing it is one thing but looking back and reviewing it is another.

There's still a lot of things I want to do and watch but I guess I will have to keep them on hold. I was bought 'Afro Samurai - murder sessions', which I have wanted for years, for Christmas and still haven't even opened the packaging :O.
I wanted to do a top 10 anime or maybe I'll narrow it to top 5? But I have watched quite a few, not of recent, but when I was younger and had more free time.
'From up on Poppy Hill' is my next movie although I am looking forward to watching 'Journey to Agartha' and the anime series 'Tamako Market' which is by the creators of K-On which, yes, it will be in my top anime, so it must be worth a watch.

I was also wanting to learn to play the piano. We took a trip back to my boyfriends mums to get his stuff from the loft and ending up acquiring his old keyboard but so far have yet to drag myself from this computer to do anything about it. I think I'll learn some Paloma Faith, Ai Otsuka, Ghibli, Frank Sinatra, Sara Barellies and......Supercell or Birdy as some of my first aims, but that will be later, first I need to actually touch the thing before I can begin to think about any of these songs. OOoo maybe some Lana Del Rey? huh. Idea.

And the new Dan Brown book is out soon....TOO MANY THINGS!! It looks awesome. It would be nice to need a Robert Langdon adventure that I haven't already seen as a movie. He will still be Tom Hanks though. No one solves crimes like Woody.

Ok, enough yakking. I'm off to get breakfast, get dressed and then off to my part-time, uber fantastic, amazing job and when I get back I'll smash my face against the wall to then do it all again tomorrow. But that's ok, hopefully the the force from the head-banging will have knocked the memory of today out and I'll be left with the overwhelming joy that I have only been to work once this week.

*peace*
